A Recognition of Leadership and Growth

The FilBest Awards celebrate outstanding initiatives across Filinvest’s business units, recognizing programs that contribute to operational excellence, employee development, and customer satisfaction. Chroma Hospitality’s "Leading Others – Leadership Program” stood out for its transformational impact on supervisors and managers, equipping them with the leadership skills necessary to elevate team performance and guest engagement.

Winning at the FilBest Awards is a testament to Chroma Hospitality’s people-first approach—investing in leadership development to create a positive ripple effect across the entire organization.

The Leading Others – Leadership Program: A Game-Changer for Leadership Development

Developed as a response to the challenges faced after the pandemic, "Leading Others – Leadership Program" was designed to help supervisors transition into effective leaders. By providing structured training, mentorship, and real-world application through a capstone project, the program ensures that newly promoted and aspiring supervisors have the skills, confidence, and mindset to lead teams successfully.

The program has significantly contributed to:

  • Increased Employee Engagement – Supervisors who underwent training have helped create a more motivated and engaged workforce.

  • Stronger Leadership Pipeline – The program has prepared future leaders, reducing talent attrition and enhancing leadership continuity.

  •  Enhanced Guest Experience – Leadership effectiveness has directly influenced service quality, as reflected in Chroma Hospitality’s #1 ranking in Guest Experience (Trust You Score) in 2024.

“I had attended the leading others training a bit late as I am already in a senior leadership role. But I wished I had a program like this back when I was starting. Why? Because it helps and supports the new leader who is navigating his way through. As you begin your journey, you are overwhelmed with all the new things involving your role. However, Leading Others, point out to the most basic that may help you through your journey.

Basic yet they make a strong foundation for leaders. I love how the program was designed to be very simple yet the impact to the attendee is profound. I am looking forward to another program that would elevate middle managers after they’ve attended Leading Others" - Mabel Roman, General Manager, Grafik Pine House Baguio.

A Team Effort: Recognizing Key Contributors

The success of "Leading Others – Leadership Program" is a result of collaboration, expertise, and dedication. Special recognition goes to:

  • Dave Romano, Director for Organizational Development and Culture – Developed and piloted the program, ensuring it met leadership development best practices.

  • Franchesca Nicole Cornelia Asst. Director of Talent Development – Led the full rollout, certified new trainers, and continues to champion the program across Luzon properties.

  • Angel Arca, Talent Development Officer – Expanded the program’s reach to Filinvest Hospitality Corporation, ensuring broader impact.

Through cross-functional teamwork and continuous refinement based on feedback, the program has evolved into a flagship leadership development initiative.
